Amazon Partners With Indian Ecommerce Site Patanjali

Amazon shows no signs of stopping its heavy investment in Indian ecommerce, after a deal with the health and wellbeing company Patanjali. The deal means that the Indian company will become available to consumers worldwide. Currently, the company only serves the Indian and Nepalese markets, but Amazon is reportedly hoping to make the site available in countries including the US, the UK and Japan. The new arrangement will also benefit Amazon in trying to overtake Flipkart as the country's largest ecommerce marketplace. This report comes just after Amazon admitted to being in talks “with the top 100 Indian brands” in an attempt to get them on the platform.
