Amazon Launches Social Network Amazon Spark

Amazon has launched a new social shopping network called Amazon Spark. The network lets users share photos of purchases with other users, with the idea that this might boost engagement with online shoppers. Amazon Spark works in a similar way to Pinterest, by letting consumers shop via a feed of images of various products, based on the user's selected interests. The photos in the feed may contain more than one product, in which case the app tags each item and provides a link to buy each one. Whilst all users can see posts on Spark, only Prime members can share items and images of their own. The Amazon app is available on both iOS and Android, although currently the Amazon Spark feature is only accessible on iOS devices.
