10% Abandon Online Shopping Carts Due To Price

Younger people are more likely to abandon their carts

Royal Mail has revealed the results of a study that says that 10% of online shoppers abandon their basket at checkout because of the cost of the order. The organisation's annual Delivery Matters report also reveals that buyers in the 18-to-24 age bracket abandon their shopping 61% of the time, compared to just 39% of 39-to-44 year olds. Nick Landon, Managing Director of Royal Mail Parcels, said that people commonly shop innocently for many online offers, “then have an 'oops moment' when they see their total spend”.
