Google Optimize is a platform that helps you run landing page A/B tests on your website.

Landing page A/B testing is a common PPC optimisation technique. It can include implementing keywords, moving buttons or making small changes such as changing call-to-action colours on the website. The purpose of such A/B testing is to find the best performing version of the landing page.

With Google Optimize, it is quick and easy to conduct A/B testing on your content and layout. You can run tests on keywords, calls-to-action and buttons.

With this service, we will run A/B testing using Google Optimize and deliver a report at the end of the testing period with the results from the two landing pages. Based on the results, we will also make suggestions in terms of website optimisation.

How it works

The process begins by completing a briefing questionnaire to clarify your objectives. This briefing will be visible to all the team members involved with delivering the service and is the foundation for all our quality checks.

Please note that you must have Google Tag Manager on your website in order to conduct A/B testing on your landing pages using Google Optimize. If you already have Google Tag Manager, then you will need to give us access to this so that we can directly implement the Google Optimize code. If you don’t have Google Tag Manager, then we will open a Google Tag Manager account for you (this will incur an additional cost) and implement the Google Optimize code. The Google Tag Manager code will also need to be implemented on every page of your website.

A PPC Specialist will:

  • implementing the Google Optimize code via Google Tag Manager
  • create the second version of the landing page
  • split the budget between the two landing pages
  • run the test for at least 30 days
  • deliver a report at the end of the testing period with the results from the two landing pages
  • make suggestions in terms of website optimisation

Please note that the maximum number of simultaneous experiments is five.
