Engineering and QA requirements

By allowing for client specific engineering requirements to be incorporated into your workflow we are able to offer a completely tailored solution to your translation needs. This flexibility may reduce the involvement of your in-house teams, as well as potentially increasing turnaround time and productivity. Your dedicated project manager and/or localisation engineer will conduct tasks both pre- and post-translation to ensure consistency and efficiency throughout all of your translation projects moving forward.

Here’s when Engineering and QA requirements can help!

When a client has specific engineering requirements which could cover the following:

• File Preparation
• File Conversion
• Post-processing of Files
• File Clean-up
• File Editing
• Language Code Amendment

Depending upon the translation workflow agreed with you there may be specific engineering requirements which must be conducted throughout the course of a particular localisation project. Such requirements may relate to the way content is stored in your website, how your offline documentation is created, or the level of project management need for a smooth translation process.

Incorporating the skills of your dedicated project manager or the expertise of a localisation engineer, in your translation solution will minimise the involvement of your in-house teams meaning they can concentrate on their main responsibilities, as well as allowing for quicker turnaround times in delivering translated content to you.

You will receive a tailored solution meeting all of your file engineering requirements, which will be outlined at the beginning of our working relationship and monitored throughout the translation process.

Quality process

The process begins by completing a briefing questionnaire to clarify your objectives. This briefing will be visible to all the team members involved with delivering the service and is the foundation for all our quality checks.

At the start of our relationship we will discuss with you the potential solutions available to meet your specific needs. During this phase we will help to identify where you will require tailored engineering requirements, and if so how they can be incorporated into your workflow.

You will be assigned a dedicated project manager who will act as your main point of contact for all translation requirements moving forward. Depending on the complexity of the files to be translated a localisation engineer may also be involved in the workflow to assist with more complicated files, whilst simpler tasks will be conducted by your project manager.

As outlined in your workflow, specific activities will be designated to relevant members of our team in order to keep files moving through the localisation workflow; this could be pre- or post-translation.
