When you are targeting South Korea
When you want your website to appear in Naver’s search results
Naver is the most popular search engine in South Korea, with about 70% of the market share compared to Google’s tiny share of just 9%. Failing to have your Korean website appear in Naver’s search results will result in you missing out on a large proportion of the South Korean internet traffic and therefore potential customers.
In order to appear in the Naver search results, your website should be submitted to the search engine. If your website is not submitted to Naver, it is not guaranteed that it will be crawled, indexed and displayed by the search engine. The website submission process is free and it usually takes 2 weeks for your website to appear in Naver’s result pages after it has been submitted.
We will submit your website to Naver through an online form and send you a screenshot of the submission confirmation message.
We will need a copy of your business certificate (a certificate proving your business is registered in South Korea and therefore complies with the country’s laws), your contact details, website URL, and a list of categories that you want to appear in.
A native Korean speaker, under the supervision of your account manager, will submit your website to Naver through an online form and send you a screenshot of the submission confirmation message. They will also send you a screenshot of any confirmation message from Naver saying that your website has gone live on the search engine, if Naver provides this.
