Naver is the most popular search engine in South Korea, with about 70% of the market share compared to Google’s tiny share of just 9%. Failing to have your Korean website appear in Naver’s search results will result in you missing out on a large proportion of the South Korean internet traffic and therefore potential customers.
In order to appear in the Naver search results, your website should be submitted to the search engine. If your website is not submitted to Naver, it is not guaranteed that it will be crawled, indexed and displayed by the search engine. The website submission process is free and it usually takes 2 weeks for your website to appear in Naver’s result pages after it has been submitted.
