In today’s increasingly digital world, if you want to keep ahead of your competitors you must be aware of their website activity. By coupling this information with your knowledge of their service, business performance and objectives, it enables you to understand any advantages they may have over you and also ensures you’re aware of elements to avoid, which is vital when it comes to upgrading or redesigning your own website.
We will take a qualitative look at up to 5 competitors’ websites from a web design/usability perspective, producing a report that clearly identifies the relative strengths and weaknesses of their websites.
The appraisal report, which is delivered in predominantly visual format, will also contain recommendations as to how some of your competitors’ strongest elements may be incorporated into your own website.
The process begins by completing a briefing questionnaire with your account manager to clarify your objectives for the appraisal. This briefing will be visible to all the team members involved with delivering the appraisal and is the foundation for all our quality checks.
We will need to know the competitors you wish us to appraise (up to 5) and prior to conducting the research we will have a discussion with you to ascertain the areas that are of greatest competitive interest, to ensure the appraisal focuses on these.
Our content and web design team will appraise your competitors’ websites from a visual and usability perspective and compile a list of strengths and weaknesses for each one. They will also, using visuals of the competitors’ sites, highlight areas of interest (e.g. your competitors’ strongest elements which may be incorporated into your own website) with commentary to explain their reasoning.
To guarantee an objective approach, the appraisal will be compiled based on the opinions of at least 2 members of our team. We’ll present our findings and recommendations in a report.
