Moderated usability testing should be conducted in your customer’s native language by a native speaker who will be able to understand both the explicit and implicit feedback. Quality process

The process begins by completing a briefing questionnaire to clarify your objectives. This briefing will be visible to all the team members involved with delivering the service and is the foundation for all our quality checks.

In order for us to deliver this service, the following requirements must be met:

  • Your website should have sufficient levels of conversions (e.g. more than 10 per day) to run split-tests in a reasonable space of time.
  • You will need to offer relevant incentives to encourage website visitors to participate in moderated usability sessions.
  • We will need to know which language sections of your website you would like us to test (1 must be English).
  • We will need access to your Google Analytics data to better understand the visitor journey.
  • We will need to add two lines of code to your website – to allow for split-testing and inviting website visitors to help with usability testing.
  • We will ask you to approve questions we will ask your website visitors.
  • We will ask you to approve the 3 new webpages before we run them as split-tests.

After you have approved the 3 new webpages and added the new code to your website, our experienced conversion rate optimisers, supported by native language speakers, will conduct a split-test of the 3 new webpages (English and 2 other languages) versus the existing webpages. They will conduct a moderated usability test with 15 customers on your website (5 per language), asking them questions and recording their responses. The results show exactly how many extra orders or enquiries you could gain by implementing these new webpages.

You will receive:

  • 15 videos of the moderated usability sessions
  • A transcription of these videos into English
  • An optimisation plan as to what the most important website improvements to make are
  • 3 versions of a wireframe, copy and final webpage design (one for each language)
  • Split-tests results from these 3 new webpages
  • A report detailing what we have learnt from each of these 3 split-tests
