The last male northern white rhino in the world, named Sudan, has joined Tinder. The stunt is part of conservationists' efforts to raise money to save the species from extinction. Their efforts to mate him with the two remaining females of his species have failed, meaning that the only hope remaining is IVF, something that scientists say will cost around 10 million US dollars. When Tinder users visit Sudan's profile, they have the option to donate towards this project. His Tinder profile describes him as “one of a kind”, adding that “I don't mean to be too forward, but the fate of my species literally depends on me. I perform well under pressure. 6ft tall and 5,000lb if it matters.” His hobbies are listed as including chilling in the mud and eating grass.
