The post-holder will play a major role in developing the company’s growth by focusing on exploring and generating business expansion opportunities with existing clients. To do so, the successful candidate will need to build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

Key accountabilities:

  • Work closely with Account Managers and their clients to identify additional digital marketing and/or localisation opportunities, taking the lead and turning them into new sales
  • Represent Webcertain and transmit the company’s values and culture to clients
  • Qualify the clients’ needs and objectives, and identify areas of potential growth
  • Research and identify new stakeholders and divisions within a client’s organisation
  • Conduct outreach and connect with relevant stakeholders
  • Establish and nurture relationships with new client contacts to generate additional business for Webcertain
  • Close sales by working with Webcertain’s consulting departments
  • Develop and deliver proposals that meet the client’s needs, concerns and objectives across all areas of digital marketing
  • Create presentations and pitch material
  • Set up and attend meetings with client’s decision-makers and Webcertain practice leaders within consulting departments
  • Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately
  • Give positive as well as negative feedback from clients to consulting departments during and after the sales cycle

Skills and attributes required:

  • Experience in selling a professional service with a proven track record (ideally in a sales, project management or business development related position)
  • Good knowledge and understanding of international digital marketing and translation solutions
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven recommendations
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Enjoys professional social interaction and the challenges of a competitive industry
  • Be highly motivated with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Good all-round IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent critical reasoning skills and strategical awareness
  • High intercultural awareness
  • Ability to observe situations and solve problems using lateral thinking
  • Ability to manage conflicting demands, heavy workloads and prioritisation of tasks

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English


  • A background as a digital marketer or project manager who has moved into a sales role would be highly desirable
  • Good understanding of SEO and PPC
  • Knowledge of local paid and social media platforms, including but not limited to WeChat, Yandex, Baidu, Naver, would be highly desirable
  • Ability to fluently write and speak a second language
