Croatin is closely related to Serbian - it is largely the same language written in the Latin alphabet - Serbian being in Cyrillic.

How many speakers are there of the Croatian language?


Approximately 5 million Croats - most of them in Croatia - but with communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina (where it's called 'Bosnian').

What Croatian language issues do I need to watch out for?


Croatian has been transliterated from the Cyrillic alphabet and has an equivalent Latin character for each Cyrillic character. The language has the typical issues of slavic languages - see Russian.
